She has trained extensively in Ayurveda with Dr. Vasant Lad and has been a close colleague of Dr. Robert Svoboda. She has earned a Doctor of Osteopathy degree from the Oxford Brookes University and is a dedicated proponent of the ayurvedic tradition in the UK. |

| The healing system of Ayurveda, literally translated as the science of life, is one of the oldest medical systems in the world. It is a source of profound knowledge for promoting and maintaining good health, curing disease and increasing longevity. Ayurveda offers a delicious and healthy alternative to conventional food choices as it considers food to be both nourishment as well as medicine. The two cooking workshops will demonstrate how to prepare a simple and nutritious Ayurvedic meal and will show how to use food and herbs as prevention of disease and as treatment for minor ailments. The lectures will give an introduction to the main principles of Ayurveda; dietary intake, personal adaptations to seasonal changes and daily routine.
