An Introduction to Ayurvedic Nutrition
Tuesday July 4
| 8-9.30pm
Ayurveda is a 5000 year old tradition that teaches us how
to enrich our lives by staying in harmony with nature. The
science of Ayurveda is based on 5 elements which form the
building blocks of all life. An understanding of how these
elements relate to one another is the key to health.
Workshop:
Agni – Stimulating the Digestive
Fire
Wednesday July
5 | 8-9.30pm
Agni in Sanskrit means fire. In Ayurveda, Agni is the digestive
and metabolic "fire". It grabs the essence of
nourishment from food, feelings, and thoughts and transforms
it into a form which the body and mind can use. The strength
of the body and mind and their ability to resist disease
are directly related to the Agni.
